Winner of our “Best Christmas Decorations” Contest!
Mike and his wife (sorry, didn’t catch her name), did an amazing job decorating, and not only for their decorations but also for having a cohesive theme. Let’s take a closer look.. the bushes in the front match colors, the animals and other characters are all in white, besides Santa, the Marry Christmas signs is a great addition and the whole yard is covered in (fake) snow.. in fact, even the side yard and little patch of land by the garage was covered as well.
The fence had decorations, there’s a smaller Santa climbing a ladder on the side of the house, more decor in the windows, plus the lights on the edges of the house, including the second story.. which as everyone should know, you need a very tall ladder and still yet, a sturdy foot as you’d have to stand on part of the first story roof to get those light where they. And let’s not forget about the tree in the middle of the yard as well. I believe even the palm tree on the left got lights added after this picture was taken.
Anyone can throw decorations on their lawn and house, sometimes maybe too much even, but that doesn’t always make for a good theme. Knowing when to hold back, when to match light colors, and adding a little extra where it’s needed, takes someone maybe with a eye for design, or at least someone who has done this many times before.. and that’s why this is the winning house. And along with the gift card, they also take a custom yard sign, created by me, your President, which they can use to show off their win in next years decorations!
