    Something Newsworthy is Coming…

In the past, you may have seen flyers posted on the mailboxes, even the Board has been guilty of this, but those mailboxes are actually property of the federal government and posting on them is illegal. We have also noticed flyers being posted on light posts too (which some of forgotten to remove). This is one a big reasons why we wanted to create this website, for news and updates, such as this post and to share it with the community. But we forgot one part, you. You have no way of posting to the website. You can contact the…

  • More Solar Lighting

    More Solar Lighting

We know there are some residents that like to utilize the park at night. where to play basketball, sit at the benches or just to walk around. While we encourage use of the park, even at night, while being respectful of neighboring homes and keeping the sound down, of course, we do want to make it a safe as possible. A months back, we added one solar light as a sort of trial, which seemed to be working successfully, so we then added one to the ramada where the table is. Again, successful. The ramada in the smaller park will…

Large Park Receives 2nd Trash Can & Grill

You may have noticed that the larger park on 157th Dr now has a 2nd trash can and a grill installed just a way down from the ramada by some trees. We have some more plans for that area which will be coming soon and the placement of that trash can and grill there will make sense. You may also notice a big dirt spot in that area, which tends to get muddy, well the plans will take care of that issue as well. For now, feel free to use them as you normally would and please stay tuned for…

  • Light Shines on Our Monuments

    Light Shines on Our Monuments

We have added some solar lights to the monuments as you enter from Acoma. These lights not only shine a little light on the community name but also are part of our efforts to improve the community visuals and show nearby residents and visitors that we care about our community and how it’s viewed by others. As part of those efforts to improve the community, we also are trying to make it safer. We already added one large LED solar light in the park to help bring some light to an otherwise darker area. But we have seen various people…

  • Sewer Drains Lowered

    Sewer Drains Lowered

We recently had our water retention area (WRA) drains cleaned and while they were out inspecting them, the Board we notified about a some cracks around a drain. This drain was located within the WRA on the east side of the community on Gelding. That drain and another one within that same WRA and a 3rd within the smaller park on 157th, had drains that were raised above the ground. For the most part this wouldn’t be a concern, but with future plans of possibly utilizing that WRA on Gelding and hopefully soon to be adding a soccer net to…

  • Sewer Drains Cleaning and Repairs

    Sewer Drains Cleaning and Repairs

We have a vendor on site cleaning and do some repairs to our sewer drains. This is a much needed clean which will definitely help clear the floodings in the parks caused by the monsoon season. Along with the cleaning and repairs, they will also be lowering a few drains in the park and water retention area on Gelding as they stick up from the ground several inches and could be a dangerous tripping hazard.

    Lake Greenway Parc II 2021

Our water retention area which also serves as one of our parks, was flooded with about 3 feet of water during the last monsoon storm on July 25th. it was only full for a couple days though. I will need to remind everyone to please stay try to avoid the parks and any water retention areas because there could be downed tress or other debris that may cause injury.

  • Storm Floods Park with Rain Water

Storm Floods Park with Rain Water

Once again the monsoon season is upon us and though the past couple of years seemed to not bring much rain, this year’s is definitely wet. During storms in the past ones like we had today (Thursday July 15th) the parks and other areas tend to fill up with rain water. This is, in fact, what they are built for. They are water retention areas. They hold the water during heavy rains so the rest of the surrounding areas do not get flooded. These flooded parks do seem like a place to bring your family after the rain stops and…
