Homeless Man in Park

Posted on

On Thursday morning, a homeless man was seen in the smaller park off 157th and Crocus. This is right where the school bus picks up and drops off kids. The man setup a tent under the ramada and had apparently been there since the night before.

The Police were called out and they told the man to vacate the community. While it took the man quickly took down his tent, he remained on property for some time. It appears he may have been recently released from a hospital has he had a plastic info wrist band on. Strangely, the man left by Uber, but the driver would not take his tent and other things he had. So those items were just left in the park. Though, our landscaper, Anthony, had collected them and were hauled away.

At this time, the man hasn’t been seen again, but keep an eye out and if you seen him or anyone else that seems out of place, please do not approach them, just notify the Board or call the Police. You never know what kinds of weapons a person may have on them or their state of mind and may cause you and others injury if they feel threatened. It’s always best to let the authorities handle these kinds of situations.

We would like to think those residents who contact me about this and called the Police to handle this before we even knew about it.

There was also a shopping cart in the larger park but it seems it was left there before the homeless man arrived. This was also removed by Anthony.
