Annual Easter Egg Hunt
We’ll be celebrating on Saturday, April 19th, starting at 9:30AM with the Egg Hunt. The whole community is invited come down and join in the festivities, but please know that only children 10 years and younger may take place in the egg hunt. We will have other activities and candy for everyone else. Saturdays are usually a better day to have the community get together, that way families can have Sunday for doing their own activities. Homeless Man in Park
On Thursday morning, a homeless man was seen in the smaller park off 157th and Crocus. This is right where the school bus picks up and drops off kids. The man setup a tent under the ramada and had apparently been there since the night before. The Police were called out and they told the man to vacate the community. While it took the man quickly took down his tent, he remained on property for some time. It appears he may have been recently released from a hospital has he had a plastic info wrist band on. New Landscaper 2024
In the past 6 or 7 years, this community has been through a number of landscapers. Why? To put it lightly, they weren’t good enough. They gave excuses as to why things weren’t getting done, rather than just doing them. We had to walk the property with them, showing how “we want things done” even though they were regular things any landscaper should be doing on a regular basis, but they would say “that’s above and beyond regular.” You’d think we were asking them to make this place look like Disneyland, when all we wanted was to ensure weeds were…

New Soccer Net
This has been a long time coming, but the time has finally here.. we have a new soccer net in the smaller park! The smaller park is the perfect place for this as it has plenty of space and a high wall behind the net that will stop the ball from going in the street (as is most likely would have if it were in the larger park) and may even bounce off of or roll back down and come back towards you. More Vandalism in the Parks
Well, I was about to post on the new table and benches we added to the parks, but then someone or some persons had to and ruin things… again. They flipped the newly installed table between the group of trees on it’s side, pulling the concrete supports out of the ground with it. This was, well is, the 3rd table for the parks and was the reason we had placed a 3rd trashcan and grill in that area earlier. I say, “is” because the table seems to be ok, but it will need to be installed again, with deeper supports,…

Third Solar Light in Park
Though there were some issues at first, there is now a new, 3rd, solar light in the park. Again, the objective was to provide light on and around the basketball court as well as the west side entry pathway. Solar lights do not get as bright as electrical powered lights, but considering the low cost and free power for the sun, I think it works well for our purposes. The Board does have more ideas for the parks, but I think everyone can agree the changes, additions we’ve made in the past few years have improved on safety as well…
