Halloween Costume Contest & Potluck 2021
In celebration of this all Hallows’ Eve, on Sunday, October 17th, in the large park, we will be having a fun filled day of food, games, costumes, candy, spooks and more! Bring your family, you friends, you ghouls, ghosts and goblins and be ready to scare and get silly. Witches and warlocks welcome. Werewolves need to be leashed. The feast to be provided by the kind folks of this here community followed by freakish fun. New Paint Schemes
Dunn Edwards has put together a some new paint schemes for our community. These are on top of our already approved list of schemes. Please click the link below to see the new list of colors schemes. These are available to use immediately, but please remember that all painting requests need to be approved and need to be submitted via an Arch Request.

Status of Community Projects
To be more open to the community about plans in the works and the status of current projects and events, the Board has created a new page with a list of those current projects. On there you’ll find the status, the years active, and project type. You can also click on any project to search any posts that have mentioned the subject. These projects only reflect those planned since about May 2020.

Sewer Drains Lowered
We recently had our water retention area (WRA) drains cleaned and while they were out inspecting them, the Board we notified about a some cracks around a drain. This drain was located within the WRA on the east side of the community on Gelding. That drain and another one within that same WRA and a 3rd within the smaller park on 157th, had drains that were raised above the ground. For the most part this wouldn’t be a concern, but with future plans of possibly utilizing that WRA on Gelding and hopefully soon to be adding a soccer net to…

New Community Manager Maui Uhatafe
There has been yet another change made to our community management team, again we are still with Brown Community Management, and Community Manager, Rachael Rich will still be helping out for a short time, but will be taking on other duties and our new Community Manager will now be Maui Uhatafe. While both managers and be contacted for now, but please make sure to seek out Maui Uhatafe for all your questions or if you have any issues. Please help us welcome Maui Uhatafe to our community management team.

Nextdoor App Neighborhood
Jason Etzel, our current HOA President, has taken the necessary steps to create our own Greenway Parc 2 community boundary within the Nextdoor App. For those who on active on this app, you will know that most users in this area are usually placed in the Legacy Park neighborhood as apparently when that boundary was setup, it was basically the whole area rather than it’s actual boundary. If you are active in that app, your neighborhood should be have updated automatically because of your address, but if it has not, please reach out to him directly through that app.

How to Report Monsoon Season Damages
While I’m sure we all know how to stay safe and to try stay indoors during the monsoon storms, what may not be clear is how to report certain things, like a downed tree, community damages or other leaking water. Sewer Drains Cleaning and Repairs
We have a vendor on site cleaning and do some repairs to our sewer drains. This is a much needed clean which will definitely help clear the floodings in the parks caused by the monsoon season. Along with the cleaning and repairs, they will also be lowering a few drains in the park and water retention area on Gelding as they stick up from the ground several inches and could be a dangerous tripping hazard.

Lake Greenway Parc II 2021
Our water retention area which also serves as one of our parks, was flooded with about 3 feet of water during the last monsoon storm on July 25th. it was only full for a couple days though. I will need to remind everyone to please stay try to avoid the parks and any water retention areas because there could be downed tress or other debris that may cause injury.

Storm Floods Park with Rain Water
Once again the monsoon season is upon us and though the past couple of years seemed to not bring much rain, this year’s is definitely wet. During storms in the past ones like we had today (Thursday July 15th) the parks and other areas tend to fill up with rain water. This is, in fact, what they are built for. They are water retention areas. They hold the water during heavy rains so the rest of the surrounding areas do not get flooded.
